I was happy with how my development was going, but I was aware that I needed to focus my attention on a narrative. At present I am conflicted by the experience of surface and user interaction. With this in mind, I began creating short artists books that describe a change of surface, which would hopefully entice the viewer to interact with them.

The first, titled 'From Rough to Smooth' is a short book that illustrates exactly that.. This was made with handmade paper and a scalpel. The second has no title, but shows the evolution of solid to dust. To make this, I used crushed up chalk.

Finally, I made an interactive design that the user could manipulate to create whatever image they liked. For the purposes of the photo, I simply made the words 'touch me'.
