A year ago, one of my best friends, Liam, passed away.  It came as a complete surprise and hit us hard, as he was a huge part of our lives.  He was the type of friend that would make anybody laugh, made you feel special, always had a story to tell, had a way of making the mundane exciting, and brought everybody together.

Liam, you will always be a big part of my life, and this week's theme is in memory of you.

Day 621 [3-2-15] "Oregon Gulch Falls" - Liam, a year ago, you passed away, leaving a considerable void in our lives.  Last year was tough, but I'm so thankful for the great memories you have given us.  It's my first time here since the kayak trip with you, Anthony, Lenna, Robert, & Josh.  I recall how you were so thrilled with the adventure of getting here (blazing our own trail) and that it reminded you of something from Tom Sawyer.  Such a beautiful place, but today, it just feels a little less vibrant without you.  I miss you buddy and will carry these memories wherever I go.
Day 622 [3-3-15] "Oroville Dam Views" - Liam, you would've enjoyed these views.  Lately, it reminds me of the trip you, Dan, and I took to the top of Mt. Diablo.  It felt like being on top of the world!  I miss you buddy and will carry these memories wherever I go.
Day 623 [3-4-15] "Lake Oroville Treasures" - Liam, you should've seen how low the lake was last year.  You would've had a blast finding what has sunk over the decades.  I miss you buddy and will carry these memories wherever I go.
Day 624 [3-5-15] "Train Tunnel" - Liam, this was one of your favorite spots in Oroville.  That perfect mix of urban exploration, edginess, and hiking.  Last time we came, you wanted to go through with the lights off.  Halfway through, you suggested that I light our path with an occasional camera flash to give that "Quarantine" horror movie effect.  Of course, you timed your screams perfectly, even suggesting that a creepy goat might appear with a flash and be gone the next.  You had a way of turning any moment into an experience!  I miss you buddy and will carry these memories wherever I go.
Day 625 [3-6-15] "Table Mountain" - Liam, there's Phantom Falls faintly in the distance!  It sure was a fun adventure, like that time you visited and we explored the cliff-side crevices.  I miss you buddy and will carry these memories wherever I go.
Day 626 [3-7-15] "Mt Diablo Mar '15" - Liam, Dan and I are back on top of Mt. Diablo, viewing from the exact spot Dan photographed us two years ago.  I miss you buddy and will carry these memories wherever I go.
Day 627 [3-8-15] "Pt Pinole" - Liam, let's walk alongside Colleen & Kevin through your high school, cross-country stomping grounds.  I miss you buddy and will carry these memories wherever I go.
