#STAYWOKE 

This instillation/performance was presented at SAIC in order to comment and bring to attention the unrest and violence of police brutality affecting the United States, especially after the revealing and disturbing circumstances that unfolded around Michael Brown and Eric Garner, along with pointing to the growing socially media presence that has been used to share information about current movements and continues to expose stories that have not received the same amount of media attention. The bed cover was strategic because of its colors and how that points back to the colors of the American flag. Spread on top of it were broken pieces of glass, dirt, fake blood, and bullet casings.
