Raleigh Bicycles selection

I've been with Raleigh Bicycles for over 7 years and have designed hundreds of bikes. The process of getting a bike finished is usually very quick, often hectic, even, but always a great challenge. I'm usually responsible for choosing paint colors and completeing graphics for the bikes, rims, and the components for at least 50 to 70+ models each model year.

Here's a quick look at some of my favorite bikes I've designed over the last 2 model years:
2015 Tekoa Expert
2015 RX 2.0
2015 RXC Pro
2015 XXIX
2014/2015 Tamland 2
2015 Cadent 2
2014 Revenio Carbon 3
2014 Capri Carbon 4
And here's a quick (very, very condensed) look at the process of rendering a model goes down:

I go from tracing over a Frankenstein'd Photoshop file of chopped components from older bike images (looks more realistic AND I don't have to illustrate them) to tracing a CAD drawing with enclosed vector shapes, adding fills, adding my own custom gradient swatches for lighting on the tubes, and then finally adding my graphics.
The only part of the process not shown here is how there was probably 50 different color/decal concepts worked on before that final. The final bike looked pretty close:
2015 Skarn Expert
I cant wait to show you the 2016 product, easily our/my best stuff yet...

Thanks for looking!
All bike images were shot by the marvelous Earl Harper Studios, and belong to Raleigh USA / Accell North America.
