Mural done for Zizzi restaurants, for their Glasgow Silverburn location. I was once again asked to work digitally so it would be installed on the brick wall, which is always really fun!

 

The restaurant's design takes inspiration from the nearby Burrell Collection and Pollok Country Park, so I really wanted to reference the Pollok Free State protests that happened in the 90s. As a road was planned to cut across the Park (the biggest urban park in Europe at the time), protestors set up cam and built tree houses in order to stop construction work from going ahead. Even though they were unsuccessful in the end, their efforts left a lasting mark in the community.
