In 2013, Capital Shopping Centres underwent a significant rebrand and were renamed intu.
As part of this rebrand, we were appointed as Lead Designer to refresh intu Bromley and attract high quality retailers to the shopping centre. Key to this project was an understanding of the importance of customer experience. This meant that the intu brand promise ‘to bring joy’ was the central focus and driving force of the brief.
 
To achieve this vision, we designed pod seating to create customer dwelling points. A wayfinding system that used orange, the intu brand colour, was also put in place to ease navigation. New WCs were then built on upper and lower levels. To ensure the highest level of design, atriums and malls were refurbished with simple, contemporary finishes. This created a light, fresh interior, which resulted in an understated expression of the intu brand.
