Wallpaper’s role is cover and decorate the interior walls of homes and commercial spaces, like clots are used to cover and decorate the human body. Wallpapers are either solid colored or with a graphic pattern embellishing their surface.

Mathematically speaking, there are seventeen basic patterns, described as wallpaper groups, that can be used to tile an infinite plane. All manufactured wallpaper patterns are based on these groups. A single pattern can be issued in several different color ways.

Inspired by the work of William Morris and the idea of further exploring the topic of objectification I have decided to make a wallpaper motif that I could effectively develop into a pattern that would embody the idea of objectification. The goal is that the wallpaper patterns would add, enhance, and give a venue for the idea of objectification beyond mere process. The selected colors further enhance the effects of the motif.

By stylizing the most sensual curves of the human body and developing a repeatable floral motif I have tried to build a larger pattern that would mimic the human body.
