The project brief was to design a product specifically for a local professional that used hand tools. I chose to shadow a chef because I thought it would be fun and I soon realized that it was not the tools that were the problem but his organization because he worked with many people in a small kitchen. So I then set out to create a product that would help him stay more organized while supplying easy access to his tools.
Glued and cut boards to desired shape and angles.
Milled to 7 hundredths of an inch of material was left to inlay magnets
Inlaid magnets with epoxy
Glued boards together
Cut and sanded to shape
Thermoformed and plastic welded internal tray
Finished with clear enamel coating.
Internal tray for non magnetic tools, removable and dishwasher safe
It can hold itself up while magnetized to walls while holding tools
