Discharge Dyeing on Octoscarves

Discharge dyeing, taking the dye out of the fabric.  In this case using ammonia paste and bleach. (Not at the same time if one want to keeps their breathing habit.) These are all done on bamboo knits except for the light blue and peachy/pink which are cottons. Done using stencils.
Scarves. The edges are done with fishing line to give it the "octopus" edge.
Ammonia paste. It's left to dry then ironed. A respirator is a must.
Bleach Paste. It has a short open time since the bleach immediatly starts to break down the sodium alginate that's used to make it into a paste.
