We were asked to design a book cover using digital painting, for a book that would showcase classic portraits (1600-1850) reimagined as zombies by various artists.

I decided to use Gustave Courbet Self-portrait (The Desperate Man), I felt it was more animated then other portraits of the time and would engaged with the user more.
