Overview: We were tasked to create a dashboard that would inform environmental watchdogs about a certain region of the world and its concerns. There were a couple things that we needed to keep in mind: weather, changes in plant life and animal life, changes in human activity, a critical factor for the area, a display for something impacted heavily in that region, and a predictive display for animal and plant life.

My group was assigned to Europe and we chose to focus on the Mediterannean Basin and specifically the European rabbits.

I led our brainstorming session where we determined what each feature was asking for and how to frame the dashboard around these requirements. We framed it into a story from what affects the rabbit to the actual rabbit then to what the rabbit affects. We then accordingly grouped items together.

After brainstorming, we moved into making mockups of the dashboard. My group ended up supporting my mockup and based our final dashboard on my sketches.

We had one person in charge of the visual design. I did a more comprehensive mockup for the display in the corner and our group member compiled everything together into a cohesive unit.

This was our second iteration after feedback. We changed the graphs in the corner display and rethought how we wanted the rest of the map to look.
