Roman Reinfuss (1910–1998) was an outstanding ethnographer and folklorist who enjoyed considerable renown in the realm of folk art and was a tireless collector and archivist of every form of folklore from nearly all Polish regions. Nevertheless, first and foremost, Professor Reinfuss was a researcher and a eulogist of the Lemko region who started his adventure with Lemkovyna in his early years while living at his uncle’s house in Gorlice. This was a starting point for his expeditions to nearby villages, either on his own or along with his cousins to enjoy the amazing and colorful Lemko culture.
