I started by making a 8.5" x 11" blank paper with 300 pixels/inch and a color mode of CMYK. I then pulled a picture off of the internet of a male making a kissy face. I erased the background of the image and strategically placed a teddy in place of where his bookbag was. To make it look like he was holding the teddy, I used the stamp tool and stamped more of his sweatshirt over the teddy. I blurred the background tress to not draw as much attention away from the main image. I then added the main kicker and three other subsidiary cover lines with kickers and explinations. I placed a flash flower shape under the "over 700" to draw more attention. I placed a UPC code, the date of the issue, and the website for the magazine on the bottom right corner. Finally, I created a selling line "The Ultimate Girl Guide" under the magazine title, which I received from logotypes101.com.
