Art for Farmers Market Makin’ Money Game
This game is the first released title that I have worked on. I was the lead environment and prop artist. Also illustrated below is a breakdown of my 2D/3D workflow. The graphics software I used is Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and 3Ds Max. The game engine we used is Unity 3D. You can download the game here to play. Once again, thanks for checking out my work!
I fill the space with 3d objects and set the camera angle in 3ds Max. Then I gave the objects a base color and lighting for loose reference in the painting stage. I brought the images into Adobe Illustrator started to paint the cartoon style of the game over my 3d renders. Populating the farmers market with hundreds of objects was a perfect opportunity to use 3ds Max.
The strawberries are another example of using my 2D/3D workflow.
The number of golden bananas you receive is determined by how well the players does on a level. The golden banana is also visually rewarding.
Who doesn’t like making money?
I enjoyed painting all these vegetables, some look very appetizing!
