Hourglass
Typeface Design 

The typeface ‘Hourglass’ was modelled off the basic shape of an hourglass. The edges were made sharper to resemble a more solid square shape. ‘B’ was the first constructed letter. The white space within the ‘B’ was then replicated in each letter of the alphabet, creating a consistent shape. It is primarily a display type and can be applied in film and music videos.

Commemorative Stamp Design 

This typographic project required stamp designs to commemorate a typeface of choice. Having decided to celebrate the typeface Garamond, the most effective way to do so, in a simple and elegant way, was to dissect the typeface and create an anatomical structure for the letters G, A,R, M, O, N, D and the numbers 1, 3, 5 and 0. Garamond Regular and Italic were featured throughout the series of stamps.

Love
Line and Point Typography 

‘Love’ was an experimental typographic project. The brief required the creation of typography that reflected the character of a word. Created using a red ribbon, and photography to give a sense of sentimentality, this design evokes youthfulness, free spirit and joyful abandon. The design was later printed onto postcards for the use of promotional materials.
