Brands and Branding - Re-Branding exercise

The Task
For this task we were asked to pick 3 products and rebrand them with another brand.
We then went on to create ads for the new 'mutated' branded products.
Dove + Bottled Water
In my group we decided that pairing Dove with something simple like bottled water was the best way to stay true to the brands values. Healthy, Natural, No synthetic ingrediants.
Another reason was that drinking lots of water everyday is the best thing to keep your skin clear and fresh, Dove is a skin care brand so putting these too together make a great fit.
Red Bull + Extreme Sportswear
Putting together Red Bull and extreme sportswear seems like an idea that should've happened already. A lot of their advertising is based of giving you a rush and show clips of adrenaline junkies doing extreme sports.
I beleive that the Red Bull brand has already found its place in the extreme sports community making a extreme sportswear range seem desirable to those who do these sports.
For the ad I decided not to change their original tagline of 'Red Bull gives you wings' as it still works perfectly here.
The Red Bull already sponsor a lot of extreme sports so they clearly already have the knowledge of the area.
Ted Baker + Baked Goods
This was the wild card of our three but I actually think it could be a very effective short campaign for Ted Baker. It would certainly get people talking if a high end fashion brand started selling 'designer bread'.
It could also inspire a whole (comical) clothing range.
The ads themselves use the hashtag #tedsbakedbread a simple tagline could easily trend online with such an unheard of idea.
There would also be a lot of room for guerilla advertising, e.g. a runway show based around baked goods, models walking in the streets giving out samples of #tedsbakedbread.
