Verba is a name given to many of the smaller species of the genus Salix (willows and sallows) when their furry catkins are young in early spring. These species usually grow on river banks or lake shores. Verba is a symbol of advent of spring, health and propitiation. The flowering shoots of pussy willow are used in Russian Orthodox countries as a spring decoration of home interior.
Verba is a concept of pure natural vodka. Packaging design is complimentary to the concept and give a perception of «air» and purity. Besides graphical design the idea is supported by usage of special «flock» decoration. Flocking or imitation of velvet is rarely used on a market as it quite new and unusual technology. Due to visual and tactile effect of flocked elements it involve buyer into communication: it is interesting to touch the product, view it all around.
Hand-made paper label, wooden bottom of gifting box and natural cork closure, texture paper with a visual of limb made with a relief die (embossing); all that elements add more tactile effects and support the idea of the product naturalness.
