The Bamboo Trike was designed with the intentions of intervening in a protest situation. The task at hand was to create any intervention using the material Bamboo. Keeping in mind the roadblocks during a protest, and the ban on entry in many free ways leading to inconveniences in the transportation for many participants, we designed the Bamboo Trike as a sturdy, low maintenance vehicle that can withstand wear and tear without causing much damage to it. The vehicle is non motorized. The intent of the vehicle in the first design practice was to carry a detachable tent on its back, hence the design came about to be a three wheeled one. However through brainstorming, we decided to give up on the tent to maintain the simplicity of the design.
