Movie Director Portrait Prints
— Prints & Behind The Scenes —

It is the profound love for movies and the appreciation for their makers that
truly inspired our newest prints.

This time we collaborated with Julian Rentzsch, long time fellow and truly one of our most favorite illustrators! Skillfully set typography and an extraordinarily beautiful cotton
paper stock paired with Julians remarkable drawing and illustration skills, both analogue
and digital, these prints portrait some of the most brilliant minds and their work
within the history of cinematography.

If you are interested in the prints, please come by and have a look here:

Take a peak at our studio where we have been shooting the latest mood images. Despite the fact that we had a ton of fun, of course, we were once again reminded as well that it it takes both
a lot of planning and hard work to make great images…

Scouting for props took place at Axis Mundi which is a fantastic 4000 square metre supplier for film and production studios in need of almost anything you can image or wish for…

Axis Mundi, an incredible supplier of stage props with a huge 4000 square metre of space, located within the Schlachthöfe Hamburg… The images below probably show approximately 1/10 of the huge building Axis Mundi set base in. This time we already had a couple of
things stored ourselves, but we will definitely come back for future sessions.

If you have a spare afternoon, treat yourself well and check it out, it's so much fun:

A couple of final watercolor sketches from Julians pile of work:

"Always make the audience suffer as much as possible". Hitchcocks ambition for suspense is unmistakable. We are most driven by a sincere attention for detail as much as anything
that follows a true handmade approach, never settle, keep iterating:

Every print comes with a beautiful blind-embossing, numbered and signed:
