'Every little detail plays a part!' - a patron placing a dot to complete Signature's own version of George Seurat's 'A Sunday afternoon on the island of La Grande Jatte' which the Sondheim musical is based on.
The 2009 Tony Award winner for best Regional theatre; Signature Theatre in Arlington, Virginia launched it's Open House event on August 2, 2014. Opening it's 2014-2015 season was Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's 'Sunday in the park with George'.
As a treat for guests,we posted a line art illustration of the painting “A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte” by George Seurat (which the musical was based on). The guests each placed their choice of color to complete the piece.
