The community of Greater Cincinnati sought a better digital experience for the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. Hyperquake partnered with US Digital Partners and CVG for a new strategic approach and redesign of the CVGairport.com. The challenge was simple: create a fully responsive, unified site that works cohesively across multiple devices and includes relevant regional content and an engaging travel experience.
We spent some long days and nights walking around the airport.
Hyperquake and USDP conducted stakeholder interviews and spent time talking to travelers inside and outside the airport, understanding what people actually want from an airport website. The purpose of CVGairport.com had to be more defined and relevant, unique, and most importantly, driven by passenger needs.
 
CVGairport.com includes features like detailed real-time flight information, available parking data that lets flyers know how many parking spaces are currently available in each airport lot, and accurate weather forecasts for both CVG and your destination. The site also provides detailed multi-lingual information on flight information, dining, shopping, news, social media, and transportation.
Results: mobile traffic up 280%, and parking revenue up 25%.
Today, CVGairport.com has seen a significant increase in website traffic, sustaining an increase in website visitors of 26% year over year, with positive feedback and community engagement from travelers to and from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region. The website has raised the bar for other airports across the world to give their travelers something more than flight schedules and airline information, and is garnering awards in the process, being chosen as one of Sitefinity’s Top 5 Websites in November (2014). According to Sitefinity, CVG has seen a surge in mobile traffic of up 280%, helping CVG achieve one of their most significant goals established when partnering with Hyperquake and US Digital Partners from the onset.
 
Parking is a significant revenue stream for CVG. Because of our strategic choice to promote and make parking easier for folks visiting the airport, within five months, parking-related engagement is up over 500%, increasing parking revenue for the airport more than 25%. This strategic growth is allowing CVG to continue to invest in other technologies and amenities that enhance the overall experience for travelers on a daily basis.
