To produce a poster that focuses on raising awareness for blindness and loss of vision caused by diabetes for the Poster For Sight competition, run by Sight For All. Just a Spoonful of Sugar? uses the wholesome image of Mary Poppins–however, her eyes are missing to connect the concept to blindness, while the spoon of sugar containing eyeballs links to diabetic-related vision loss.

Don’t Cut Ties’ key message is “don’t cut ties with your eyes”, which is symbolised by the metaphor of the sugar sprinkled scissors, representing the mismanagement of blood sugar levels and poor diet; the frayed rope symbolises the slowly degrading vision loss. Both posters were shortlisted.
