I have about 6 William Gibson portraits in total and I'm sure I'll do more :) This is the most recent one, I decided to do it in a sort of 8-bit graphics style.
Colored it with felt pens. I needed bright, even colors, so I hated felt pens! Really -- such a terrible mess... I'm yet to find a better way to do it.
At one point my red felt pen died, so I had to use another one -- you can clearly see its pinkish hue.
Pixel after pixel...
But I eventually came back and retouched it in Photoshop, levelling the colors and fixing other minor problems.
Nonetheless, people still confuse the portrait either with me or Harry Potter! :-D
