Published in August 2014, I created a course for Tuts+ on Mastering Male Vector Portraits in Adobe Illustrator. This was a video course and it talked you through two different projects covering some of the basic tasks you may be asked when creating a male portrait.
The first project shows you how to create a line art based portrait with short hair and a shaven face.
In the second project, you learnt how to create a more detailed portrait, this time with longer hair and a beard.

As part of the free tutorial promoting the course, I showed people how to render short hair. This was actually the top tutorial in vector in 2014 on Tuts+ based on traffic!
