A 3D model of Louis Vuitton sunglasses for an interactive AR 3D Experience
I created the 3D model of the frame Soupçon from french manufacturer Louis Vuitton. Entirely modeled with quad polygons in 3DsMax, I made a low and a high poly model for two purposes. The low poly was used in an interactive 3D real time presentation I programmed using Wirefusion. The second high poly was used as a model for a virtual try on application.
The challenge with this sunglasses was the high requirement in the precision of the model as well as the texture (gold, metal, acetate and glass). The first picture presents an integration for which I shot a custom HDRi map for lightning and reflexions then rendered in Mental Ray. The global compositing was finished in Photoshop.
