There’s a good reason why the adage “a picture is worth a thousand words” ever became an adage. Images express in ways words can’t. 

Randomly assigned a famous celebrity with a unique personality, determined and developed a single concept to communicate. Focus on digital, traditional or a combination of media to create an illustration that captures the celebrity’s story. The style should work to reinforce the message you are attempting to convey.

Initially created for Miley, the primary concept was to communicate her finding contentment in herself and essentially the moment “Hannah Montana took the wig off for good.” The illustration was inspired by Roy Liechtenstein’s revolutionary pop-art comic style. A cynical quote that reflects Miley’s perceived downfall of her fame was placed above the stylized illustration in bold typography to evoke the sadness and humor of Miley. The illustration inspired additional Celebrity Tragedy illustrations of Lindsey Lohan and Britney Spears.
