SHADOWBOXES

The tiny worlds projected from within the glowing boxes are a concoction of figures and motifs remembered from childhood – forest creatures, castles, beetles – instantly recognisable and charged with whimsy and fantasy. By evoking these deep seated memories Cleary hopes to remind us of the ‘ intense experience of viewing the world through childlike eyes, a perspective that we often lose as we become more more adept at filtering our environment.’
