The Cambridge dictionary tells us:

Self-censorship is control of what you say or do in order to avoid annoying or offending others, but without being told officially that such control is necessary.

We know for a fact that even in Europe this form of self-control is in full power, especially after the recent and not so recent events.
Our work was in the beginning a simple-flat-for-amusement piece about acceptance, hugs and love between two realities, two worlds, two religions that must find a way to cooperate, live and thrive together.
However the work takes a new emphasis with our decision not to publish and show it. Actually, not to publish or show it in its current state. We have decided to self-censor it. The artwork is a simple interaction between two books. However the books are not ordinary. This is why we won’t tell you which are Those Books.
We have decided to switch the importance and the meaning of the artwork. Now we want to ask different questions. Is a public secret going to offend anybody? For all we know the books may be the last encyclopedia Britannica and the Yellow Pages catalogue from ’87. Or are they? Is art censorship omnipresent? Is this artwork going to be rather accepted or maybe forbidden and censored? This is a mere attempt to describe how censorship works and how and on who does it apply.

The Bayer Gallery is presenting the artwork in mid August. Of course, there the entrance will not be possible due to self-censorship. The work will be phisically there, but on closed doors.
