For this stool project, my intention was to create a sitting structure using the simplest method. Cork is a very special material in terms of strength and flexibility. After a whole semester of structure testing, material researching and minimalizing design process I finally made this simple stool made out of cork.
And The method is simple:
Duct Tape + 3 Sheets of Cork
No Glue, Nails and Joints.
Testing and Prototype.
When siting, the cork structure will form a comfortable curve that embraces the body.
