The University Daily Kansan decided to do something a little different for Valentine's Day this year, and launched a social media contest, featuring three different prize packages: I Love You, I Love Me, and I Hate Valentine's Day.
 
I chose to view this project as a branding project, with a series of "logos," one for the special section/social media contest as a whole, and three for each of the prize packages.
I designed a series of newspaper ads leading up to Valentine's Day: a full page, featuring all three packages, and an individual quarter page ad for each package. The student body could take pictures of the ads and post on social media in order to enter the contest, specifying which prize they wanted.
The social media contest was a huge success, with hundreds of KU students taking to social media to post which prize package they wanted.
