This poster is based off of the Amsterdam Sinfonietta posters done by Studio Dumbar. I was inspired by the shapes and movement in those posters and worked with those ideas in my own way. Shape was used most prominently to move the eye around the piece. I am also interested in hiding type and played with the idea of hiding bits of various letters to create a sense of depth in the piece and to create visual interest within the design. The smaller copy at the bottom of the poster was handled in a very clean, straightforward fashion to not take away from the interest in the rest of the piece.
