The Connector is the editorially independent student news site of SCAD Atlanta. Together as a new staff in Spring 2014, we decided it was time to rebrand The Connector as a news site that belonged to and was worthy of the artistic students we served. The goal was to embody reliability, boldness and a fun edginess. We aimed to bring The Connector into the 21st Century, but not forgetting the history of being the connector between the students and the topics that are important to them. We executed this brand and logo, along with a new WordPress theme called Explicit by Industrial Themes, in Fall 2014 and the logo was in use until January 2015.
