My Icon concept was thought to be for an Antique Swap to help centralize all of the goodies. I feel that there is plenty of room for organization at these events! The main focus was to help people navigate around the grounds while alsoassisting with saving time if your in a crunch and are hunting for that very special item.
The icons that I was after are some pretty common items that you will usually see at an antique swap. I started out with an idea for a vintage woodgrain background with a black cirle that would hold the icon within. But, afterwards scratched that idea becasue it was too boring. So next I was after a vintage stamp idea. This idea was a winner. I wanted to have some texture, some sort of date stamp in the upper corners to indicate the year the icon represents and some really nice colors to complete the vintage look. I chose to go with a two color swatch for the icons to give it some depth. I was able to excape the flat look this way.
