Infiltrator in the Desert 2015


A test scene was created to find out how much longer render times would be with procedural cloud volumes in OctaneRender as described in the thread by profbetis:

25 cloud layers of 1000x1000m planes were used.

Kernel was PMC with a diffuse depth of 32 to compensate with the ray bounces between the different layers.
It took about 8h over night to render out 1000 spix at a resolution of 3840x2160 with two GTX Titan active.
