“As a lotus flower is born in water, grows in water and rises out of water to stand above it unsoiled,
so I, born in the world, raised in the world having overcome the world, live unsoiled by the world”

“Nelum” is the name with which sinhalese people call the Lotus flower. It’s a plant born from a seed
that takes root on the bottom of stagnant water, immersed in the mud,
in the dark, like ignorance, which hides the truth of life.
In some way it could be seen as the agreement point between religions and philosophies of life
so different and sometimes, unfortunately, in conflict.
