An award winning Deaf awareness video by a group of young Deaf people
I had an amazing opportunity to work with Deaffinity to lead a creative workshop and training of a group of talented Deaf youth. The objective was to produce a short deaf awareness video in a creative way for an annual nationwide competition by Adobe.
To develop better communication and understanding deaf people, I took part in a deaf awareness course and gained qualification in British Sign Language Level 1. Through the mentoring and direction, the group slowly grew in confidence and learnt a great deal about the different aspects of film making over the course of the project. 
The video we produced for the Adobe Youth Voices project, won first prize at the British Film Institute screening of AYV films. The group was privileged to fly over to San Francisco, California for the AYV Summit, an all expenses paid trip courtesy of Adobe. The project has been featured on BBC See Hear program, in which I was interviewed, and in national newspapers, as well as being screened in a number of international film festivals worldwide.
