Project 1: UNION STATION

In This Project, I supposed to produce an 11x14 image of Union Sation's interior with correct perspective, rendered in pencil crayon on canson. In addition, I had to capture the behavior of light. Thus I followed many steps to reach this goal:

First step was to do a perspective in the external environment. So I chose the outside of Ryerson university. The purpose of this project was to produce a visualy dynamic image in 1 point perspective.
Step 2 was to produce pictures by using black and white pencil in mid tone  Gray cardboard to catch the light from different angles.
Multiple light Source

The point of this activity was to percieve shadow and see that by multiple light shadows become lighter and more curvy shape.
Single light source
The point of this activity was to find out that by using single light shadows become sharper.
Third step was to learn how to work with color pencil to draw the behavior of light in gray Cardboard to find the shadow, which reflectef of the items.
Now the last activity was to find an appropriate place that have suitable lights in Union Station. Then we used to examine the reflection of light in two different color Cardboard to find which one would display the light in more effective way.
Warm Color on Warm Cardboard
                                                                Warm color on cool cardboard
Finally for the last part of the project, I realize that darker cardboard represent my drawing in more effective way.   In the final work I tried to focus on the light and its reflection on the glasses at the back of the window. The product of my work was  11x14 inch drawing of Union Station by color pencil of cansom paper.

Project 2: Self portrait

In this project, I attended to produce a self portrait in density controlled in ink. The goal was to describe my personality  in eithe real portrait or abstract one.
To approach this drawing, I supposed to follow many steps:

The first activity I need to do was to know how to work with ink. Thus I present the following work:
The most important practice was produce five gray scale in ink density to control value. Each five squars should be different in the pattern to realize which one is more comfortable with my hand.
By doing the gray scale exercise, I found out my preference in using the pattern. I chose dashesh and realize that to undrestand how to work with it for the final project, firts I need to apply it in another painting. Thus I present the jacket piece, which includes the jacket infront of the light source.
Before attending for the final project I did some sketches in small size.
After finding my problems and practice on its difficulties, I made some changes in my roughs and execute my final project all with dashes.

Abstract Drawing by color pencil
This was the abstract project in the first semester of my Art College. I spend a lot of time in this painting to show different elements of art only in one painting. In addition I wanted to make some movement in it. i belive this piece is one of my most intresting one.
The purpose of this project was to apply different material and techniques on one design. In addition some of them are collage; I supposed to make texture.
Abstract painting by Acrylic
To execute this painting, I used soma gold paper to make it shinnier and more attractive.
                                                                       Close up of shinny part
White pencil crayon on Black Cardboard
This is my first experience to work with white pencil on black Board. The interesting thing about this drawing is that I draw that upside down and just tried to capture the ligt without paying attention to my mind. Just trust my eyes.
