On the last day of my stay in Harefield I took a long morning walk to discover what I have been missing for a fortnight: the great english countryside on a January day and the quiet town of Harefield on a working day. I am still fascinated by the randomly chosen footpaths that took me to the hare fields - although I haven't caught any hares - the cemetery and then back to town.
