Napier is located on the edge of the world - the Eastern side of New Zealand, a romantic seaside town. Known for it's Art Deco architecture and fine wine, Napier has plenty more to offer.  In this work I consider this identity,  constructing minature models entirely from card and paper featuring parts of Napier.

 

This became a free standing installation work with hanging clouds, roads and seagulls. It was also adapted into a 'Napier Now' campaign featuring as an online advent calendar produced by Napier City Council in collaboration with Black Dog design.
