the national health service

the NHS was launched in 1948.
It was born out of a long-held ideal that good healthcare should be available to all, regardless
of wealth – a principle that remains at its core.
The NHS employs more than 1.6 million people, putting it in the top five of the world’s largest work forces together with the U.S. Department of Defence, Mcdonalds, Walmart and the Chinese People’s Liberation Army.
The NHS in england is the biggest part of the system by far, catering to a population of 53.9 million and employing more than 1.3 million people. Of those, the clinically qualified staff include 40,236 general practitioners, 351,446 nurses, 18,576 ambulance staff, and 111,963 hospitals and community health service medical and dental staff.

Based on the way design has been heading I decided to focus on branding the NHS with more of a contemporary and minimalist style with near future and ultra clinical aesthetics. The colour scheme is very basic, using white, grey, and two tones of blue, a timeless palette that is inspired by the vastly unknown - space.
I wanted the feel of the brand to transport you into the near future.

Humans still run, work and control the organisation but relay heavily on advanced machinery to do most of the work. Everything is automated, staff no longer manually record data, a staff member's main role would be to give a human touch and to maintain the robotics.
