For this week's assignment we were to create a digital cat playscape for a advertising agency of our choice. I chose to go with a agency in New York called, StrawberryFrog. I enjoyed the simplicity of their office design, as well as the limited bright colored accents. I browsed their facebook page and googled images of their office to get an idea of what my design would be for the playscape. I found it a bit difficult at first to come up with some ideas. As I sketched and erased, the ideas started to flow. Here are some images of the StrawberryFrog office and some sketches of my cat playscape:

Unfortnate for me, I found out that I was completing this assignment wrong. We were supposed to incorporate the plascape into the already designed work area as opposed to designing a completely seperate room. I did a couple of additional sketches and came up with this one below that I like the best. I will post the images of my persepctive drawing in Illustrator very soon. I'm working a little behind schedule.

 

 

Here is my final playscape layout created in Illustrator. I had a tough time figuring out the whole perspective thing at first. Once I actually got the hang of it, it became a enjoyable experience. I will definitely use this feature on future projects. It makes laying out designs very simple.
