Casti Bridge is a project starting from an engineering contest at the University Miguel Hernández in 2010. The competition is divided into three categories: aesthetics, mobility and endurance, the latter the most prestigious.

 

For the first call I worked with a colleague and we presented the bridge Peritos Cafe in endurance category, obtaining a resistance of just 480kg weight. From there I worked alone preparing the design of "Casti Bridge" in 2011. Where my goal was that the bridge would support 1500kg. In this time I prepare a new method to build the bridge, making the process faster, easier and accurate. The hole construction just take me seven days using a mold as a guide.

 

The contest was developed normally and the bridge endured all the weight with which the competition organizers had: 1116kg and making me the winner. 

The bridge, which remained intact, is exhibited in the University Miguel Hernández of Elche since 2011.
