Overview
The MOHAI Launchpad is an anchor interactive for the new Bezos Center for Innovation at the Museum of History and Industry in Seattle. This interactive exhibit was designed to inspire museum visitors to be innovative within their own lives. The experience utilizes a set of interactive mirrors with displays behind them, and a set of Microsoft Kinects. Visitors see their reflection from afar and as they approach a real-time, reactive particle system swarms around to create a virtual self within the display. The interface is adapted to each visitor based upon the visitors actual height, which allows for great usability across a huge demographic of museum visitors. Once activated users interact with the system and play a series of small quick puzzles which showcase ways of being innovative within the visitor’s own life.
