The design of a new website for the long established Edinburgh Weavers company. The previous website, designed in the ‘90s, was flash-based, old fashioned and not optimised. The site did not communicate the core values nor the unique proposition.

 

Edinburgh Weavers has always been synonymous with cutting-edge design and ground breaking textile manufacturing using artists to design the textiles. 

 

The design of the website focused on this unique approach fusing textiles and modern art with the concept of fabrics hung in an art gallery on the home page. The website also includes a comprehensive fabric search function. 

 

Bounce rate was reduced from 90% to 30%. Visitors increased from 100 to 1,043 per month. The site now has the ability to convert to an e-commerce site, with ease.
