A cinematic proposal video I made for my fiancée.

 

I had already proposed with a Lord of the Rings ring my brother gave me for my birthday. Since she and I are nerds over LotR, she thought it was perfect. However, I still had to do it properly with the engagement ring, and on one knee.

 

We received our parents' blessings and so I bought the ring. Estimated delivery date was for 1/29/2015. However, I told her there was a delay and the new delivery date was estimated for 2/2/2015. There was no delay ;). I wanted to surprise her with the ring in a way she would never expect and so, I give you, One Ring (A Cinematic Proposal).

 

We made plans to go on a date with a couple of friends and decided to go watch The Hobbit: Battle of Five Armies. I thought it would be cool to propose to her with the ring during the movie. Then I thought, "what if I could play a video?!" So I called some movie theaters and finally one took a bite.

 

She had already seen the movie at that time, but I had not yet seen it. My vision was to play my video after the trailers to make the audience (and my fiancée) believe the movie had already started. With my background in media design, and my brother's amazing voice acting, this video was created.

 

The managers at the theater were so helpful in putting everything together just right. I invited friends, family, and coworkers to throw that big surprise at the end.
