This was one of the quirkier promotional sends for Better World Books. Analytics showed that, no matter what the body content of the e-mail was, subscribers tended to click through to the Bargain Bin. So we decided to make a bit of a joke out of it while driving traffic to the Bargain Bin, a sort of "You're not even reading this, are you?" message that was silly in the extreme. (The marmoset linked to a page that expressed some shock — "No one's ever done this before!" — and then linked back to the Bargain Bin.)
