Film: In The Town (2012)

My first stop-motion animation with all original characters and constructions.

Created in 2012 when I was just getting into exploration of surrealist film. It has several strong influences from Fritz Lang and his films - the likes of Metropolis, M, and Frau Im Mond - perhaps most notably 'The Cabinet of Dr Caligari' from Robert Weine, upon which the twisted, crooked streets and distorted natures of the characters were based. It was also my first major experiment with artistic set design, which I greatly enjoyed.

In 2014 this film was nominated as a finalist for the 'Film The House' competition held at the House of Commons in London. It won in its category, winning me work experience at Lionsgate films as well as a screening of the film at a paramount theatre. For the showing in 2014, the film has been reconstructed with some copyrighted music replaced, so now everybody can enjoy it.

In 2015, a 'sequel' of sorts is now in the early stages of production.
