Homenaje al libro tradicional, el proyecto consiste en una defensa del soporte tangible en el entorno editorial aprovechando las posibilidades expresivas de este medio para poner de manifiesto su ventaja sobre el soporte digital.
Producción de un objeto bello que pueda ser disfrutado además de leído, con esto se implica al lector mediante la experiencia tangible haciendo así la lectura mucho más pregnante.
La temática escogida para ejemplificar esta línea de pensamiento es la poesía japonesa, el producto gráfico es una serie de cinco cuadernos de distintas tipologías poéticas. Este contenido se escogió teniendo en cuenta la importancia de las manifestaciones artísticas relacionadas con “la esencia” del elemento tangible (la ceremonia del té, el cuidado de los bonsais, el origami, la importancia de la presentación en la gastronomía japonesa, etc) dentro de la cultura japonesa y todo lo que podían aportar dichas manifestaciones al proyecto.
Project made as a tribute to the traditional book, is a little preview of what we can do with tangible format in the editorial environment taking its expressive possibilities to show the advantages over digital media.
The idea was to produce a beautiful object that can be enjoyed and read as well, with this the reader gets involved through the tangible experience making the reading more intense and memorable.
The theme chosen to exemplify this way of thinking is japanese poetry, the graphic result is a serie of five notebooks with different kinds of this poetry. The content was selected taking into account the relevance of artistic expressions related with the "essence" of tangible element (tea ceremony, bonsai caring, origami, presence on japanese cousin, etc) in Japanese culture and all that this expressions could contribute to the wealth of the project.
