"With his dreamy, electro-pop beats, Spazzkid offers a world of positive, uplifting melodies. This Los Angeles based producer and songwriter, formally known as Mark Redito, debuted his first full-length album, “Desire,” in 2013. Since then, he has released his 4-track EP “Promise,” music videos, singles, and remixes onSoundcloud. Before he goes on tour this month with Giraffage, we decided to have a little chat with him about his creative mantra, musical influences, and what to expect at his shows."
"Bay Area native Micah Mahinay, also known as WICVH orNoodles, is a 22-year-old DJ, stylist, blogger, and FIDM SF graduate currently residing in Los Angeles. Since 2008, she’s been able to take over social media with her daily outfit posts, Soundcloud mixes, and lifestyle blogging. When not doing gigs on her own, she performs sets with her best friend Amanda, a duo they call Pistol Whip. Her mixes, which blend the latest hits in hip-hop with throwback R&B favorites, are sure to get a crowd hyped. Right now, she’s traveling with Kehlani and G-Eazy as a DJ for their “From the Bay to the Universe” tour. Luckily, I was able to talk to her a little bit about her experiences as a DJ and what she’s up to now."
"Los Angeles based producer Alfred Darlington, better known as Daedelus, has been taking the electronic music scene by storm since his first album release in 2001. Since then, he has released music on various labels, such as Ninja Tune and Brainfeeder; performed live sets big and small, from Low End in Los Angeles, to the depths of the jungles of Boracay, Philippines; and has recently invented his own music-making device. He is one of the most fascinating musicians – not just because of his Dandyist Victorian-era looks, but through his passionate outlook on the world of music, use of the monome in live performances, and inventive persona. Luckily, I was able to talk to him, in person, over a cup of joe at Go Get ‘Em Tiger."
"Chaz Bundick, otherwise known as Toro y Moi, is a recording artist and producer signed to Carpark Records. He is well known for his releases during the rise of chillwave in 2010. His past albums include Causers of This, Underneath the Pine, and Anything in Return. Bundick is also known for his side project, Les Sins, and the release of his latest album, Michael. He recently revealed that his next album, What For? will be released on April 7, 2015! He will be performing at Coachella this year, but will also be making a pitstop in Los Angeles, at the Fonda Theater, on April 16th."
