Past and Present Philosophy posters

About
This was a typography task we recieved that asked us to slow down our practice and pay attention to the fine details of typography. We were asked to use the fundamental skills we had learnt in our typography workshops in the first term.

Background and Context
The Royal Institute of Philosophy is a charity dedicated to the advancement of philosophy in all its branches through the organisation and promotion of teaching, discussion and research of all things connected with reality, existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind, and language.
Since 1998, the Institute has held an annual lecture, bringing a philosopher of international standing to London to give a talk on the topic of his or her choosing. In January 2015 the Institute will provide an opportunity for people to attend a two day event, inviting philosophers from past annual events back to London to take part in this unique lecture series, entitled: Past and Present.

Brief
Plans are underway to invite 16 high profile individuals to participate in the London event. The Royal Institute of Philosophy will host, co-ordinate and promote the two-day event.
You are to take the sample-text provided, read and edit it where necessary, and then produce a minimum of 3 x A3 typographic posters promoting the event. The colours are limited to only white, black and red. Only use one typeface, but you may use a number of fonts within that family. Ideally, your designs need to succeed purely on the basis of the typographic integrity.
